Our Mission is to design, develop, and reliably provide to our customers, the highest quality and widest range of fiber optic products, at competitive prices, with unsurpassed customer service and inventories.  We distribute, develop and manufacture the finest fiber optic products available.  We are proud of our people, what we produce, and grateful to the customers who give us a chance to succeed.

The Beginning - an Emphasis on Education

Fiber Instrument Sales was founded by Frank Giotto, in 1985 in Upstate New York where we still are today. After all this is home. Frank felt there was a need for a company that not only distributed fiber optic product but one that had fiber optic knowledge and fully understood the industry. That’s why over 90% of our people have completed our extensive Fiber Optics I and II Training Program. This program has been offered to the public for over 23 years and has trained over 10,000 people during that time. Our customers depend on our fiber optic expertise. That’s why training is always ongoing here at FIS.

FIS is a manufacturer and full-line distributor of communication fiber optics; test equipment, connectors, cable and cable assemblies, tools and tool kits, fiber optic consumable products, active network equipment, and fiber optic security systems and components.
